The Band :: Sam Crane (Ex-band Member - was Lead Vocals)

Sam Crane, singer, performer, songwriter

From a very early age Sam has loved music, mainly 70s funk and disco, soul and Motown. As her love for all things funky increased she knew that she had to become a singer / performer herself and over the years has sang in a Commitments-style band, a function style show band, an acoustic duo and her own 9 piece original band. Sam is currently wowing the pubs and clubs within the region as a solo artist under the name of Tia Simone. Even though she recently had voice problems due to overwork, she has fully turned it to her advantage with intense voice training and is now looking forward to her role as Prince in the up and coming Endorphin Machine.

A fan of great songs and great vocals, Sam lists her 3 main influences as Prince, of course, Stevie Wonder and maybe surprisingly Queen. Recently she has been listening to more R n B including artists Angie Stone, Musiq Soulchild and D’Angelo and classes these as the new greats of the day.

Sam’s voice is full of power, emotion, and ability to confidently sing the wide range needed to do justice to any Prince set.

To get more of an idea as to where Sam is coming from musically, her music collection includes such diverse and talented artists as all of those previously mentioned as well as Gladys Knight, Simon Garfunkel, Tina Turner, Mamas & The Papas, The Jacksons, and Macy Gray. Sam first and foremost appreciates their ability. As singers/musicians, songwriter’s and performers Sam successfully incorporates her idols talents into her own individual style. She is talented, confident, and dynamic. A joy to listen to and watch.
